Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Sad for those that stay, sad for those that leave.

For those that are let go, I am sad. The coldness, anxiety and stress of being let go can be overwhelming with trying to pay the bills and worrying about insurance coverage.

For those that get to stay, I am sad for them too. They will be pressured with picking up the slack, doing more with less with tighter timelines all with an impending threat of “if you make a mistake, you’ll be let go.”.

Both groups can thank the current leadership for the situation we are all in.

So why are you worrying about Citi and posting here if you're no longer here? See you, mo-o.

I dont think I want to work anything finance again when I get my opportunity to leave Citi. Finance burns out employees to much with unrealistic deadlines and sprint after sprint with no downtime. I can't keep up with the energy from oversea workers. Their work culture is on another level to the USA employees.

As for me, I’m happy. I took an offer elsewhere 3 weeks ago and start in a few days, and get this….for more money. Crazy right?
