No wonder Senator Warren is really scrutinizing Citi. I personally don’t think Citi is too big to be managed but rather just being managed very poorly by people who’d like to be able to manage Citi but are not really qualified. If they were, we would be where we are right now would we.

In business everything is about return on capital - who cares whether they ki-led the last year, if the cost of hiring them / bonuses was too high in the past 10y+ - and from what I have seen at Citi there are too many long-serving employees, who are collecting huge paycheques come rain or shine...
