Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco has become a creativity ki-ler

This place thrives on toxicity, stifles innovation, and will drain every ounce of your creative spark. Get out while you can, because the job is certainly not worth losing your soul over.

It has to be our product and engineering leadership that has to inspire creativity. It has to be what is learned from competitors wins that will inspire creativity.

Let’s stop expecting Sales and HR management focused leadership alone to inspire creativity. It has little to show since Chambers’ time.

If you can't read any of the endless posts about this and more to this site you'll never truly appreciate how there is absolutely no new or innovative information in your post.

BS! Cisco encourages plenty of creativity:

  • creative ways to watch an entire season of the Sopranos while "at work"
  • creative ways to turn a 10-4 work day into a 11-2:30 workday
  • creative ways to make my coworkers believe I am "busy" with reaction emojis in webex while I drive around doing personal chores

etc etc

Are you one of the on staff painters? This is a tech company. Get a hobby. That's what we do. Cisco won't let me play my guitar.. because well... I su-k. That's not what their paying me for. Were paid to ship products customers want to buy. Customers don't want me to play guitar either. I do that as a hobby
