Your supervisor requests the team of skilled staff to schedule an appointment with another person on the broader team who has a different job role to watch you perform work. Either this individual does not have much on their plate and needs to account for Sapience hours or this person is acting as the supervisor’s mole to eliminate positions. Either way this type of behavior shows the downfall of what is coming.

people managers definitely know what's best for EVERYONE and all forms of productivity needed and all diversity and ways of doing things ever. Wonderful
Frankly, I do not see a problem here. People managers should be evaluating the associates and resources available to them. Breaking down silos of knowledge seems a sound way to safeguard for the next RIF. At least until we run out of associates.
That is awful. Hopefully employees are looking elsewhere. Who would tolerate that?
