What is going on with the Safety group?
Quality is regressing. I tried to review the most recent alert with my team, and it was embarrassing. Zero effort, zero useful information.
Reminded me of a bulletin I would get from a Ma and Pa in 2008.
Can’t help but feel we’ve lost the pulse.

Amen on the Mike’s comment. We had some things that were working, that were just dropped. Yeah, they took it with them, but they also left it behind for future use.

The best Senior President person to have ever worked for Enbridge! If Enbridge modeled their leadership after Glen, Enbridge would be the most powerful company in the world!

All the good Mike’s left and took their people with them. The end.
Under Glen B we did have the best Safety Department in history of enbridge, but once he left so did the safety culture. The current leadership has no skills, experiance, or integrity. As safety always say`s safety comes from the top down and so has the poison slowly drips its way down from our Executive leadership team down to our safety advisors. There is no safety culture anymore, everything is hidden and swept under the carpet, and the safety team supports this. The safety managers fear for their jobs so they rule over the advisors as such. As the below commentor has stated. Its time to clean house get ride of GE and all the safety team. Its time for a major reboot. We all want to go home to our familes and loved ones, wish the safety department would want the same!

Simple Explanation.
Non-Safety people were installed into leadership positions that rule by title not by their knowledge. They don't have the slightest clue of how to run a safety program.
The people who are the managers are just worried how to keep their job and not rock the boat.
That whole department needs a MASSIVE overhaul, MASSIVE.
Commenting on all the A safety guys that were not let go during work force reductions😂😂 well if Enbridge kept all their A safety team then why is safety so bad at Enbridge? Why are we have all these negative comments about the safety team? I think what you meant was that all the A safety team left and we are left with the ..... Opposite to the A team!
Enbridge Safety used to be prestigious. It is a bit of a laugh now. Why?
Nearly all the safety guys that were lost to workforce reduction weren’t the A players. Mostly the opposite. I can think of one guy had a retirement package- he was excellent!
Seven to Eight years ago, Enbridge Safety and Inspection was industry leading, and TRIF was the lowest in Enbridge History. But once success was achieved and leadership took notice, then everyone wanted the recipe. At that point, several departments began ba----dizing the programs and tried to steal the credit for the success.
The result was a fragmented program and a lot of animosity between former “A Team” members.
Once bragging rights and control became more important than actually implementing Quality and Safety, both programs deteriorated. Since then, the successful program developers left the company, retired, or were lost to multiple rounds of work force reduction. The original recipe for success was lost, and Safety has never been the same.
LESSONS LEARNED: Don’t mess with Success!
Its very sad that Safety is one of Enbridge values but yet we are all here complaining about our safety departments. Its a very sad state we are all in when the company and safety department has teamed up against us all! ENBRIDGE SAFETY = ENBRIDGE MAFIA!!!
Safety team in Ontario? What are they doing, where are they, who are they? Mysterious they are, they are on the endanderd specei list. Like the hyeneas cricaling their prey, we need a lion leader to save the safety team. But alas all the Ontario Leaders are like Skar in the lion king, not trustorwthy, skemers, contractors are laughing at us!! Safety corporate is dead in Ontratio and nothing from leadership can prove it is not! Safety Leadership in Ontario is rotten from the top down!
Safety ? That is a just word the execs and GE throw around.
Savings is the word that really seems to matter.

Do we actually have a safety department anymore? What do they do but show up at meetings! It appears that the leadership team of safety has sold their souls to GE and are now Safety lawyers for the company! I have not seen a safety person in my area doing anything but butterfly activities kinda like the seagull theory. Fly in cr-p all over the place, do nothing then fly away. The best thing for us all is to fire all the safety leadership team and hire actual safety leaders that truly care about safety.
