Thread regarding Hearst layoffs

It’s hard to admit, but the industry’s been shrinking for years, maybe even longer. Good journalism has never mattered less than it does now. I’d say it’s time to look for a new job, but where? Every media outlet is cutting staff, not adding it. And with AI in the picture, things are only going downhill. The only real path to job security now is to leave the industry entirely.
