Card Swipes and WAH?

Can someone clarify the outcome from the town hall with regards to RTO and card swipe monitoring?

My interpretation was the Brian Kane policy of RTO is not really a thing but you still need to come in? It was a little confusing to determine if we’re gaining flexibility or losing it

The only issue I see with leaving RTO up to your manager, is that if you have a kool-aid drinking manager, then they’ll say that everyone on their team has to be in-office, so they make themselves look good.

Steve said in the town hall that they are no longer tracking, and now managers get to decide if their employees can WAH or if they need to come in, and if they do need to come in, the manager can decide how many days a week. From what I'm seeing, managers seem confused as no official announcement has gone out to them.

They are not tracking badge swipes anymore. Reports are no longer being distributed. New HR head confirmed. Don't need to babysit people we are all adults. Of course it's up to each areas management on how they want to handle in office. The expectation is, if you need to be in the office, you should be there.

Yeah they have to be vague until it's official and rolled out by HR. For now it's in a holding breath pattern until the new year.
And yeah you will have a mix bag of clueless LDs and Sr Managers with and without reports.

CVS/Aetna shifting the RTO culture then and in the future follows the normal business predictions (despite leadership). Just keep following the analytics and be patient.

Please see heartbeat article on work one update. More news to come from each leader but they are relaxing the compliance component

@jav+1vCkZ17D do you work at CVS? Directors and below are generally clueless because "higher level" leadership is terrible at communicating -- if they do bother to communicate their words are evasive and nonsensical to the point being worthless and immediately disregarded. Suggesting that RTO can be clarified by speaking to immediate management is deranged.

My network tell me the RTO culture under Karen Lynch and Brian Kane leadership is changing. My sources include HR, Ops, and IT.

Although, I did not really care for the new Aetna President townhall jab but I am hopeful for remote and wannabes hybriders at Aetna.

Overall the entire RTO culture is shifting again. There's analytics coming out of LinkInd, Glassdoor, Forbes etc. The new year 2025 may go more in favor to peoples preferences. Cross fingers

Seems like you should ask your manager not the rest of the internet.
