Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing eliminating useless positions

Nobody likes to see anyone get laid off, but the ratio of managers to workers was and is way out of whack. He still could get rid of another layer of management. It would not affect anything except the bottom line. Not to mention getting rid of departments like DEI that don’t really add any value. Seems like these were targeted along with surplus employees in different departments.

They get rid of quality jobs to replace them with new yes people to hide the flaws in workmanship. New employees are more prone to wink and walk away when they realize it's their superiors pointing them in that direction.

Sadely Quality traditionally gets hammered during layoffs.
As they say, it's always best to pack your own reserve parachute.

7 or 8 quality were laid off at my location. We were completely blindsided since we thought if anyone was safe it would be quality.

So laying off quality, compliance, and safety are useless positions, huh? Wow! Ignorance really is abundant in Boeing…….

If that was the case, they should get rid of half of these factory workers. They’re either hiding, sleeping, or on their phones most of the shift. Smh

A lot of times the HR management does all the laying off of employees and the their superiors lay them off after they are finished doing the dirty deeds. We will have to see in the end what happens.

They are getting rid of DEI practices... as usual Boeing are just following the lead of other corps.
But at this time, all the people supporting DEI are being re-assigned amongst HR Shared Services.

Once HR and Managers have laid off thousands of Individual Contributors... they should be thinned out too...
