Snowflake

...after earnings has a market cap 20x Teradata's . They should buy TD, migrate the remaining customers, and call it a day.

You want a better analogy? How about Teradata is the Titanic, Snowflake is the iceberg, the people in the lifeboats are the ELT, and the people going down with the ship are any employees who haven’t left yet. Better?

Hardly. Teradud will continue limping along and the employees will continue to be miserable. Except for the worthless execs. It’s not quantity of life but quality of life that is important.

"Teradud is the annoying little chihuahua nipping at the Great Dane that is Snowflake."
True, but chihuahuas outlive Great Danes by 2x!
You may need a better analogy

NO Snowflake does not need to buy Teradata. They are already taking market share from Teradata. Plus they are still way over valued, the market will pickup on this in 2025, finally!

SNOW doesn’t give a sh-t about TD. No one gives a sh-t about TD.

I think Snowflake has already demonstrated to customers that they can safely and effectively help them move off of Teradata. Just ask Walmart.

Here we go with market cap vs...how much market cap did Slush loss with a -50% drop in share price in 2 years??? Losing $175 a share and one losing $200 a share...with today's 335.4M outstanding shares.

Well squiring TDC would improve the books for Slush...with the recent annual metrics of:
SNOW
Profit Margin -31.72%
Operating Margin -40.90%
ROA -10.79%
ROE -20.62
EBITDA -1.13B
Diluted EPS -3.39

Boy o boy, no wonder the Prez walked away for take chairman....let's have him write another book of nonsensical fluff and do tv spots...and watch Slush share price drop in real time by $20....
yeeeaaahhh keep pumping snake oil

A takeover by snow would be pocket change for them. The result would be customers who are planning to migrate off teradata to snow would breathe a sigh of relief as they get to move to a modern platform rather than stay stuck on teradata.

Upside is that teradata ELT wouldn't find a way to hide anymore in snow and they would be exposed pretty quickly.

The old teradactyls are such a bunch of snowflakes anyway, it seems almost logical.

Why buy TD since the customers are moving to Snowflake anyway.
