ULA is in Colorado, which I believe is a combination of Boeing and Lockheed workers when they merged their ELV programs (Delta/Atlas).

El Paso was mentioned in the CO WARNs list, which I assume includes Colorado Springs. Where, yes, there are Boeing employees (305 according to Workday).

On Jeppesen, Boeing would be better off not messing around with a currently profitable business unit. Sure, a small number of layoffs (it's more than "3 to 4") there won't benefit Boeing in the slightest, and won't hurt wider Jeppesen. It's not to say there isn't overhead to trim there... there absolutely is.

But Boeing should just sell them ASAP for the roughly $6 billion they are currently worth. Stop messing around with some trivial layoffs and re-orgs there and cut them loose to some private equity investors to do that dirty work. It's "non-core" to building airplanes anyways and could fund BCA/BDS for a fiscal quarter since (per Ortberg/West) Boeing can't tap markets/shareholders for any more cash. Cash in on ForeFlight and a bunch of other subsidiaries for the same reasons. Maybe doing that first could have prevented the few thousand obvious BCA/BDS layoffs that they plan to try recalling/rehiring in 6-12 months anyways when a/c production rates are picking up.

Agree with you. Don't see how 3 or 4 layoffs at Jeppesen is going to have a major impact on Boeing.

What about Colorado Springs, don't Boeing have people there too.

I don't see how these cutbacks are going to make that much of a difference to the bottom line.
Maybe Elon needs to come in and start cutting from the top down instead of the usual bottom up.
