Thread regarding VISA Inc. layoffs

Layoffs still ongoing?

Haven't heard of anyone let go this week. Now we're in peak, is that it? Rajat sent out an email yesterday saying 1000 staff had been impacted over the last several months and that changes 'were made', so it all sounds like past tense. If he's sent that out, does that mean they won't be letting anyone else go for now?

Being transparent leadership was not able to stay for sure that they were complete they kept stressing their POV at their level which isn't the same as knowing.

News leaked and Visa leadership had to make an internal announcement to help with damage control… Rajat and even Ryan talking about it (in my opinion) is all damage control, not a promise of that being the last of it… Again this is just my opinion, I think there’s more to come, this leadership team isn’t exactly transparent or company moral/value focused. Sell, sell, sell after all.

Manish told us we shouldn't be scared. Scared employees aren't as productive. Trust him and get back to work.

This was cleared in yesterday's O&I townhall that all the layoffs are done for now. Those who are impacted are already made aware and no new surprises anymore. Atleast for now. Whoever is safe can not peacefully enjoy the Thanksgiving feast! Sorry for the fallen ones! Hope they find a better jobs.

Usually when the memo is sent, they are done with that organization. I heard that layoffs may continue up to next week (Thanksgiving week in the U.S.). But, that was rumor.

Then we wait to see if this will pick back up in March 2025 with remaining untouched Global/Regional orgs. The focus may be low performers, which should be expected. If you aren't coming into the office, begin soon.

Stop pointing fingers and name calling at the LT leaders. All this cuts and layoffs are the work of the shareholders and investors.

Rajat leads the Technology wing. He may be done, but there are other parts of the company led by other people. HR can only process so many cannings in a week.

U think you will know for sure in tomorrow's townhall meeting. I like the way they say they are helping people who are impacted transition with this! Abd thanking people who are leaving. Hypocrisy at its peek. Worst severance pay. Even FISERV is laying off but atleast they are offering 1yr = 2weeks pay. Ours is full of greed.
