The desk situation in the cork office is not working. It actually gives you this feeling of dread when you go into the office, not knowing if you will get the same seat you regular sit at. I see people coming in regularly with this look of panic when they discover their regular desk is occupied. Then you have to find a desk and be separated from your team. Some desks don't even have a docking station. Nobody is going to open a ticket with I.T for a desk they are not sitting at. And the noise level is very high with the open plan setup. All in all, going into the office for the hybrid option is affecting the whole RTO experience.

It's like a demented version of 'Musical Chairs' isn't it? Every month the music stops and look around for desk - lol.
I actually wish I could move desks. The guy beside me kicks his sweaty shoes off every day. Is there any kind of office etiquette training available? Disgusting.
I work in Cherrywood and while we have no issue with Desk the great energy and excitement Adrian mentioned is pure bullsh-t.
The mood is very grim and its a complete drain going in.
Nobody wants to be there and as far as I can see the only people who are happy are those who are at Dell far too long and have no confidence in themselves.
You’ll find a desk next to that pot of gold at the end of the 🌈
And for peripherals, walk to the end of the next one
Someone must be making a tidy little earner selling display port cables on ebay. Most desks are missing theirs.
Cork used to be a nice work envoronment even when we had numbers so large that finding a car parking space was tricky. Nice large corner desks, high sound boards seperation of teams into different rooms/areas.
Now its everyone for themselves squeezed into something akin to one of those scam customer call centers in India. If energy & excitement = incessant distracting noise, then we have it in spades. What leadership need to grasp is that this 'Office buzz' ≠ productivity.
McDonald's all hands has been removed from the intranet as it was such a mess.
Cork desks are a joke, you drive all the way to be met with missing peripherals, no ethernet working and noise everywhere
Did you not hear Adrian in the all hands last week. There is great energy and excitement. Not, no desks and anguish. No go and stand in the naughty corner and think about what you said!
If changing desks everyday gives you a feeling of dread, you need to see a shrink. Or better yet, just grow up.
Why didn't you go remote

It’s a sh-tshow for sure not sure they’re going to do Jack about it
“Working at Dell everyday gives you a feeling of dread” -fixed it for you
