I love my job and have a good manager. While my concern with the company's direction has caused me to look outside of Intel, all I'm seeing is a bunch of jobs that will guarantee me a 40-50% pay cut. Riding it out since I'm less than 10 years from retirement and enjoy my work.

Intel roles and responsibilities are so specific that after many years, I am now trapped at Intel. I am unemployable in similar roles elsewhere as they expect scope thats typically handled by 5 - 10 Intel employees. To gain that experience I would have to spend a lifetime at Intel moving to different positions and never going up the ladder.
