Can anybody share if their area is being hit?

All business people and the business org were hit yesterday. Engineers who work closely with those people will be next, I think sometime between now and before November 11.
Honestly I saw this coming as someone who joined more recently. This company is soooo backwards tons of random VPs and Dirs with no direct reports doing “synergy”. Most are people who have been here 10/15+ years which good on them for riding the good years and setting up the company. However innovation, creativity, and ambition is sorely missing across management.
There’s also this strange culture of not saying the truth here. Lots of kicking the can.
Finally communication is abysmal everything is via email, cause god forbid you pi-s off some irrelevant person person by just hitting them up on Teams.. i’ve seen multiple instances of people sending long email chains when it could’ve just been a teams chat and resolved within the hour.

Did the layoffs start in any region/department? Any confirmations?
it should not be a surprise any more be ready and clear your desk, No one is inumune we are ALL replaceable
If I am not wrong, this affects all regions.
Being kept in the dark by the company is the worst.
