Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

No more layoffs

Confirmed by one of my friend, who is currently a VP at Intel. Most of the remaining people will be safe. You heard it here first. Enjoy the coming holidays.

Additional layoffs will depend on Q4 earnings and Q1, maybe Q2 projections. These current layoffs are a tourniquet in part of an emergency triage to stop or slow the cash hemorrhaging. If it doesn't work, a 2nd tourniquet might be needed.

What are you smoking. Layoffs will continue as needed for the next several quarters until the company is right sized given the latest revenue numbers and a definitive plan to compete in the markets that make sense.

Nobody knows … the VPs are even aware of what’s going on , they just say yes to everything when it rolls down the hill …

How long before they get even a small whiff of the 10bil savings ? With all the packages given out it may be a good while

Of course this is fake news. The company is bleeding $1B cash flow every quarter. The layoffs, while significant are not sufficient to stem the bleeding.

Depending on how the Q3 quarterly go. Intel has not reached the bottom yet. It may speed up the sink soon.

This message has so little meaning and is almost laughable. Unless this company can stop the trend it is in, more layoffs are inevitable.
