Post ID: @zdy+1v91qh8w I may laugh a side ripping hilarious laugh at your graphic description, but I sincerely feel sorry for you and sympathize with you. No employee should have to endure or be put through such sociopathic bullying behaviour.

There are lot of misfits from top down, especially indians with cheap mentality in this global company. They bring in their near and dears at higher levels no matter what their experience is. What does AT&T telecom experience got to do with banking industry ?

Employees with narcissistic grandiosity tend to have inflated views of self and make self-focused and short term-focused decisions instead of considering long-term organizational needs. They may also abuse and try to protect their sense of power and control..

Citi managers get a cut out of contractors company. So they treat employees horribly and prefer contractors. HR is aware of this practice but does nothing because they can’t prove it. Hence mistreatment and abuse from managers towards their employees runs rampant in Citi.

I have worked at many banks and this is the only one where collectively, people are dismissive, disrespectful, and unapproachable. The skill level is significantly lower than their competitors and the systems are far more outdated, and there is very little appetite to actually change on the ground.

Not every manager is a pr--k, but a solid 80% of them are and the company culture allows these pricks to get ahead, while driving out good managers.

Its not your manager fault, most of the time it can be the managers above your managers that is adding similar or worse pressure to your boss. The abuse starts top down.

OP here, and sorry to hear about your experience. I do not think this is place a would want to work at even if offered a job. Couldn't imagine this persons behavior in an actual work setting with a little bit of power if this is how they treat potential condidates. WOW.

I am not surprised. Management here is naturally rude and offensive. It's like a c0mmuni$t country. Unfortunately, it's not about to change no matter how much fake lip service they give about transparency and how we should be nice to each other. There's even more meetings and emails since the "reorg". They are selling a bunch of fluffy we're all one big family cr@p that no one's buying.

Post ID: @zdy+1v91qh8w I am really shocked that No one, no employees have Not already videotaped that type of psychotic, bullying, abusive behaviour, Not just in Citi but in all companies.
The world has the technology to do it, with mini cameras, cameras in pens, smartwatches, etc.. H3LL even cameras embedded in water bottles. I hope you're in a single consent U.S. State just like I'm in where you do Not need another person's or a company's consent to be recorded via video and/or audio. The video/audio recording will generate millions of US$ in lawsuit settlements including from Class Action Lawsuits.

I worked at Citi wayyyy before Jane came to be CEO and management especially in NY are a bunch of c o c k s u c k i n g miserable people. I actually got sick working there because my manager and her buddies would ride me like I was an inmate in a correctional facility. The verbal abuse was intense and the threatening to be fired for no reason was always on the menu when she was angry. I dealt with it and rode it out till she was finally able to lay me off last year. Thank God that happened. I got my severance and pay for 90 days and took a much needed break. Im happily employed at another bank and forgot how nice it was to work with decent people. Don’t be like me and take the mistreatment. I worked for Citi a total of 10 years and it was never a good time and I think it has to do with the legacy employees that won’t leave and won’t embrace change. Not all of Citi is bad but Citi won’t address the issue my guess is for fear of law suits or whatever the case may be.

It is not problem with your talent, they hurt you in such a way so that you dont even think to apply here any more, so that they fill those positions with their proxy consultancies like synechron , virtusa etc where they will get share.

If you think retaining top talent is a problem now, wait until next year. The tech thoroughbred winners that I know are going to leave so fast its going to leave vacuum sonic bo-m.

“winners” = plural = many.

Didn't used to be that way. Not too long ago this was a great place to work. Since Jane took over it's been a long slow circling of the drain. Used to be a lot of good management. They have all left. What's left is pretty poor. Brought on by our own policies and practices, Citi can no longer attract and retain good talent.
