Yep I got the 15 minute 1:1 meeting on my calendar. Totally taken by surprise and blindsided.

Associate Director confirmed with us today that the layoffs from the 16th was the last round for the year. The firedrills going around are more of an operational inventory of systems personnel and projects

The rush to get evaluations done is normal. Its a precursor to the January purge.

The self evaluation timeline is normal. Managers have to have ratings turned in within the next few weeks.

I have a feeling there will be layoffs either in Nov or Dec. They're rushing employees to complete self evaluations for annual reviews.

UHG is a huge corporation. There will always be layoffs each month.

@OP (original poster) - How do you know that 10/24 was the last day of layoffs? Are you saying there are no more until next year?

I don’t believe that… there is more clean up to do at WellMed. IT was impacted and few individuals managed to move to the business side to cover those positions. Most of the IT jobs are being taken by offshore.

Haven't heard about anything in significant numbers today. I DID however see that they are spooling up on-shore reqs in OptumTech for analysts of various stripes. VP said straight up that they over-cut and the people they tried to get to come back largely told them where they could stick it.

So now they get to pay more for less qualified contractors to reinvent the wheel.
