I was let go in May, I'm now in a similar role, with vastly better pay, at a company that doesn't have constantly rolling layoffs. Vantiva did absolutely nothing with Home Networks stateside, except to clean house. All US based QA was eliminated, barring those in a role subsidized by an MSO. All legacy support was eliminated and handed over to Vantiva support despite having no knowledge of our products. Theres some development going on in the US, but not much, bootloader guys are gone, mostly home sight, that's about it. In summery, most Home Networks people are gone (In the US)

ARRIS Home in a nutshell, excellent individual contributors, above average or good middle management.
The VP and above layer was absolute trash, no vision, no support for teams wanting to try and experiment with openWRT and similar technologies.
They milked their paychecks for as long as they could at the cost of everyone else.

The culture was wonderful in Santa Clara but Suwanee was meh on a good day.
I still stay in touch with my old colleagues and management layers.

Not much to look forward to if you are in a non low cost location. Maybe the new CEO will turn morale round.

It's tough. At first, things looked promising, but within a couple of months, they left us behind. Our performance plans weren’t transferred, and as a result, we didn’t receive any bonuses, raises, or promotions. The company reorganized us in a certain way, but the decisions were unilateral. Those who took on employees from Home Networks weren’t entirely on board, so they’ve left us behind and have been looking for ways to move us elsewhere. Plus, the work culture doesn't help much—no one offers support. I really miss how, back at ARRIS Home, people always had your back. We lost many great employees from Home; I don't understand why they moved them to Vantiva only to lay them off a few months later. Some were even let go unilaterally, without their managers knowing, which impacted operations. And by the time they tried to fix things, they couldn’t rehire the people they had let go.

At least you guys received 3%. We got nothing! Not even a thank you for your efforts. The only positive resulting from being at Vantiva is that we no longer have to attend townhalls and hear about the debt, EBITDA, and that its all Home Networks fault.
