Just like in the past, layoffs will once again occur in the midst of the holidays. it's nothing personal, just closing out the quarter.

They laid me off a week before Christmas 2 years ago. Life has has improved since. Amazing what working for a good company with nice people and a great cultural environment can do for a person.

Fab 10 was EFK site sold to On-Semi I believe. New fab in Malta was supposed to be 8.2 I believe. Layoff rumors su-k and leave employees on the edge of their seat, never feels like you have a career just a contract worker year to year. The challenge for GF is there is zero loyalty and when that happens your attrition rate will always be high. Don't worry, the SLT will have good holidays, they won't be worrying about any layoffs!!

Isn’t fab 10 the new one in Malta. That fab is already further along than microns. Go GF!!

  1. All listed jobs have been switched to internal only
  2. Majority filled with internal lower cost location workers.

Be proactive in your career, only you are responsible for your well-being.

From someone high up the chain, there’s quite a bit of disinformation here.

Some facts:

  1. ) There are no layoffs planned for the rest of 2024.
  1. ) We are currently in a hiring “pause”.
  1. ) If attrition does not naturally lower labor costs enough, there will most likely be a layoff in 2025.

Sorry you guys are still having to live with that constant threat. Even if they don't layoff, the stress from the possibility is not healthy. And if you do survive layoffs, it's back to working at GF. Good luck and happy holidays.

It’s easier to lay folks off than to push SLT to sell more wafers to customers.

SLT, stop being so lazy. Be accountable!

Who will keep them accountable? So far Mubadala and the investment community has been unsuccessful.
