There are plenty of companies that don't treat their employees like cr-p like CVS. This was never a people friendly company. It was an average workplace at its best, and it's a horrible one at its worst (which is right now). I don't plan to wait for the next round to leave.

It is better to get laid off. That way to you get your salary + PTO + severance + bonus (maybe). Then while on severance, you can look for a job.
You don't need to announce your departure to anyone but your manager.
If you are that unhappy then leave. Otherwise, roll your damn sleeves up, stop being so negative and let’s get to work.
Aetna was a great place to work for as well. And I have heard similar stories from long term CVS colleagues as well. Problem is that we are 3 fortune 50 companies under a holding company. Unless there is a strategy and execution direction of whether we are “one CVS” or CVS as a holding company, there will forever be friction.
Of course may be too late now given all the animosity and hatred that has percolated across the 3 organizations for each other. Hate to say it is has become a forced marriage where sure you get to split the rent and expenses (even that is doubtful with the financial mess) but everyday you can’t stand the other sides.
Caremark, pre-Cvs and Aetna was a decent place to work
