Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Stock is below $10 again

Wall Street is not buying the story of closing 1200 stores to profitability anymore. Stock keeps going down and lot of hardworking employees will lose their jobs.

Why does Neal have a close family friend as his administrator? Maggie is a close family friend of Neal's. Neal has brought all his close friends and family into the organization. Unfortunately, Walgreens’s employees are concerned about losing their jobs, as it seems Neal's plan may involve replacing us with his close friends and family. I encourage everyone to be aware of the situation.

Grant was fired from his two previous jobs, then Neal gave him money to play for few months and help him to find a new job. Why Neal helped him? Because he spoke bad about Hsiao, and this is what exactly Neal needs!

They should fire Neal and his gang! Neal is using our money to do nothing! Board should investigate all his transactions using corporate money

This is a time when all Walgreens store employees are worrying about their future with the announcement of 1200 store closures. It is a shame Neal continues to throw lavish parties wasting company money. How arrogant and insensitive. Why is Neal still employed at Walgreens?????

Who is Grant Ecker!!!!! Grant Ecker is full of sht. He is a good definition of being a liar! Hsiao fired him in his first days. Grant joined another company after Walgreens, and he got fired there quickly, too. Now, why am I speaking about him? The reason I am discussing him is that our CIO, Neal, is paying him our money to hold events and have parties. Last weekend, they rented a cruise on Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, and had a big celebration there. Neal is full of sh***t, too; he finds all the ways to have parties with our money. We don’t get bonuses, any raises, or even any hope because of a selfish leader like Neal. At least if there are no bonuses, I wish we had a good leader who cared for the company and our future. The Enterprise Architecture community run by Grant is funded by our money. Neal wants to have parties and be famous; he presents on silly topics just for show. All the good Walgreens employees are leaving because of Neal. Neal has caused significant damage at Walgreens. People like Grant Ecker are feeding off our money.

Neal is playing with everyone. Soon, it seems that he and his friends will make up the majority. Perhaps he was fired from his previous job for similar reasons.

Ethics rules do not apply to Neal. He hires his close friends to report to him. He writes their performance reviews and determines their compensation. A big Conflict of Interest. Something unacceptable in all other companies.

Ultimately name of Walgreens should be changed to Neal and friends. His friends are from Milwaukee and St. Louis

Regarding: "Neal is just..." Don't know much about Neal but I wouldn't expect too much from HR concerning the Executive Suite. HR's main function is to keep the rank and file in line through disciplinary action and ultimately termination if they deem necessary. HR is here to do corporate's bidding and little else.

Neal is just another example of how Walgreens has failed from an oversight perspective. For too many years HR, the supposed Ethics Officer (Matt D-mbrosia), and the Board have focused on all the wrong issues while constantly overlooking obvious ones requiring immediate action -- Roz, Hsiao, Tracey, and now the Tim and Neal gang. No other company has experienced this level of negligence. Unacceptable......

We should not let them to do whatever they want! Neal should not go to the resorts with our money. If he doesn’t want to work, he should leave. He cannot have party all the time without delivering anything!

Never seen anything like this in my many years of work in Walgreens IT. If you don't kiss Neal's rear end you are not going to survive. Neal and his mafia have completely taken over.

Neal wants us to leave, he can bring more friends here. Neal was fired many times before, he is not an honest and responsible CIO. Never trust him

When Neal came, he and his friend Tim cleaned the house together. Now, all of Neal’s direct reports are his friends, and all of Tim’s EVPs and SVPs are also his friends. The HR department is aware of this, and no one is investigating Neal for bringing his friends into the organization. All of his direct reports are his friends. Currently, he is bringing in more friends to report to his friends. Their primary focus seems to partying and making money together. Neal and Tim are the worst CIO and CEO at Walgreens. They don’t have any plan, just having fun and making money here.

While many people are losing their jobs, Neal is concentrating on bringing his close friends here. They have all been laid off from their previous jobs, most of them from Milwaukee. A new sr director/vp is joining soon, so it wouldn’t be surprising.

"We are closing 1200 stores" feels like a used-car-sales-man line. The number keeps changing and includes previously mentioned closings. There isn't a big thought out plan or anything. Yes, they are closing stores, but this isn't the well planned out strategy that it is being sold as.
