Thread regarding CVS layoffs

CVS has been in decline for too long now

And there have been no attempts to change the course. A lot of flowery words from the top which mean nothing, but in essence there’s no strategy, new ideas, nothing. I have survived several rounds of layoffs, and the only thing that keeps me here is that I need the job and there are no many other opportunities where I’m right now. But I’m making sure that I do just what I need to do and nothing more. Why would I take it seriously and invest myself in a company that doesn’t take itself seriously?

THIS. There is no strategy. They keep saying “focus on execution”…execution of what?? Everything is band aids and short term grasping at a dollar, not a proper thought through plan of how to win for the long term. I can’t stand the EDs who pretend they have a grasp on the business and share laundry lists of to do items, and basically psychologically threaten people who aren’t showing toxic positivity.

Companies as old and big as cvs are not innovators.
They gain that through acquisitions.
Any ceo,,, ANY
That is not a founder

Only hold their position as a hobby.
A very large,very expensive, hobby.
When you make over 5 million a year your not doing it to survive.
When you are not the founder your inept at having that drive and creative center.

And all legacy boards pull from the same pool of people hence why they keep coming from other legacy companies.

Cubin will run circles around us.

I say thisvand i cant stand the guy.
