Thread regarding CVS layoffs

David Joyner Shaping our Future post

We already knew the budget cuts were happening but the increasingly positive spins of layoffs at this company are getting ridiculous.

“Here's where I need your help: we must deliver every day. It is no secret that our industry faces significant and dynamic challenges, and that CVS Health must make financial and operational improvements to drive elite execution and maintain our position as a leading health care company.
We are here to win, to be successful, and to grow together.

To do that well, we need to operate as one CVS Health; a single team that does many things every day to help more than 186 million people achieve greater access, better affordability, and superior care.
When I was away for a few years in my retirement, it made me appreciate even more what it takes to change health care for the better. Since I've come back, and especially today, I am inspired and motivated by what we will accomplish for ourselves and for those we serve, together.

They have cut all raises and promotions. You will be asked to work harder without compensation. This is why CA CVS workers are on strike. Take a look at your job description and do only what you’re required to do, don’t think putting in extra work and caring about the company will get you anywhere.

Get ready for even more layoffs and capital investment will be slashed. This is a truly miserable place to be right now.

Was in DJs “I’m taking over bi--hes” email on Friday as well as was then posted on home page…..todays heartbeat pushed it out.

It’s like “don’t worry you’ll all be doing 10x the work and you’ll love it because it’ll make shareholders happy”
