Thread regarding CVS layoffs

DDAT projects with offshoring was not managed properly at all. Saw the writing on the wall years ago.

DDAT at CVS was dealing with significant project management and accountability issues. Overcharging and a lack of clarity about who was working on what, especially with offshore teams, led to massive inefficiencies and budget overruns the past few years. They seemed to blame project managers for budget problems instead of making resource managers accountable. It was laughable and a constant struggle.

Why do we have so many offshore QA testers with so many production issues?

I can't even run reports because infrastructure and tech is so mismanaged by the heavily offshored areas. The gears are actually grinding to a halt due to executive stupidity. Literal traitors laughing all the way to the bank with millions

And yet they are moving more FTE under DDAT...
It's basically a way of getting rid of people
Offshore will never stop since onshore/FTE is too expensive.
It's a cost center and if no one is willing to pay for the cost...then lower it...

You are 100% correct. My resource manager did exactly that and gave tons of hours to offshore when they had barely any work. It's a complete mess. The FTE's that are working the job of 4 people get a slap in the face.
