Thread regarding CVS layoffs

I just moved all my prescriptions to Amazon.

Wait, I have no prescriptions to transfer, since I am no longer medicated as I no longer work for CVS....

Ok, I ordered some Advil from Amazon for 1/4 the cost of CVS.

What does this have to do with layoffs? Everything.

I don't think Amazon treats their employees better.

Funny how so of the repliers are still in denial.

Why are you on this board then if everything is peachy keen?

Coming here and protecting the honor of CVS will not save you lol.

"Wow, this is really going to make a huge impact on the over 100 million scripts they do a month. You really are going to put cvs out of business."

They are not going to have 100 million scripts a month anymore if they keep layoff off people. Also people will not buy stuff in the retail stores. Did you see the rest of job losses with big name companies like Boeing, Amazon, Meta and others. How many of these companies use CVS ? It is a snowball effect

I have not walked in a cvs since I was laid off last year. And YES, I moved my two prescriptions from there as well.

"Walgreens ended Aetna Health Insurance contract in 2023. If you move all your prescriptions to Walgreens, then you will have to pay the total cost unless Walgreens offer you GoodRX discounts."

Anyone who been laid off, will lose their health insurance and RX service on their last day of the month of their separation date. Might as well use anybody else except for CVS.

Has CVS experimented with local delivery from retail stores in any markets? Could I click my scrip in the SuperApp(TM) and have it delivered in 2 hours?

Actually Amazon expanding same-day prescription delivery to more areas of the country is bad news for CVS. That was CVS' one advantage, the get it now/buy it today option. Why wait tomorrow for Amazon when you can get it today at CVS. Now Amazon has just cut out the trip to the store, cause they too can get it for you today. That's bad for CVS.

I agree with him. Everyone who got laid off should boycott CVS and use other places to get their medicines. Don't give them one cent.
