Anyone in Canada or the US who has gone through an employment lawyer for severance negotiation? Any recommendations on who to use and expected improvement in severance package outcome?

They can outlast you in any legal battle. Just take what you can get.

The only area in which Shell truly excels is laying off people. if you don’t sign the letter you won’t get the benefit or else. It will be greatly diminished. You would have to go get a lawyer and then wait a year or two before anything is finalized my opinion. Chances of success are very low. She designs layoffs to minimize her legal exposure, sacrificing all age groups in order to avoid lawsuits
