Horrible CE Team Leads

QIPL CE Team Leads just know how to share report at the end of the month.
They understand that total work done is defined by length of the report.
& when it comes to RF people... especially their leads are horrible to work with but are over protected in the name of QC proprietary information. They don't have basics and all they want is meeting / brain storming / discussion / sync up / PPTs.

Very apt description of the problem of Indian engineers.
India has millions of engineers graduating every year but quality is really really low.

I am an Indian engineer and honestly ashamed at the quality of Indian engineers.

There is a reason there is not a single successful software or hardware product coming out of India.

Case in point, QCOM in TJ. What a boondoggle! I've heard from several different eng disciplines within SD that it is a disaster! Engineers there are lazy and inept. They come to SD for training, then can't replicate the work across the border-- blowing thru lenient deadlines. QCOM is witnessing 1st hand if you pay 2 bit salaries you can even get 2 bit results. Destine to be an epic failure!

Favoritism is big issue in India. Particularly in southern states where they don’t differentiate between lead and mafia boss. Leads run autocratic regimes misaligned with company goals.

Frankly, any company that has tried to geo-shift to India eventually ends up in trouble. I had a lengthy discussion with a C-suite person from a mid size company. She had done a good deal of analysis. It is due to the education system. The Indian engineering system does not churn out "well-rounded" engineers. An equivalent is that in an automotive industry, the folks that are putting together the car have no idea of the underlying design considerations that went into building the automobile - why would they be concerned about, say, whether is subframe is designed optimally. Similarly, 95% of the software professionals in India are just the equivalent of "assemblers". Even the Boeings and GE's have tried and failed. Q is just one more piece....
