Will they continue into next week?
This has been such a horrid experience so far. So many good and hardworking people lost their jobs. It is apparent to me that there will be more of such rounds, as they are gearing up for many depts to move the majority of jobs overseas. This is literally a betrayal of the US-based workforce, and it’s been happening everywhere. So sorry guys, for all those who were already affected, and sorry for the rest of us, because many will soon be affected anyway.

Yes there will be some for those on PTO or due to Minnesota teacher’s MEA off on Thursday/Friday last week. If you survive this round, you’ll be good till January when we begin all over again.
They wanted to avoid paying severance to too many people. I think most were offered redeployment. If you decline what’s available you are not going to get a severance when you leave.
It was not nearly as bad as I was thinking. This site could hype up a melting ice cube.
