I think we can all agree that more layoffs are coming and benefits are going to get hit as well. This company is in survival mode and anything perceived as "lavish" will be cut. I see 401k match being reduced, health benefit premiums increasing, eliminating retiree health altogether, eliminating equity grants for anyone below avp. You can't achieve 2 billion in savings by cutting travel, there will be really really difficult choices, but this is what happens when you have leadership that is completely inept.
I need that crystal ball, can you help me get it from your svp?
Sorry, but there my be some credence to this. I also heard but the number was 25K. my thought is that eventually more store closings.would be announced similar to the 800 that was announced in2022 which closed.over a 3 year period. Store closings along with the. Corporate layoffs happening now and more in the future could amount to 25k.
I spoke to my SVP and THEY said there will 300k layoffs over 5 years. Our stores will be run by our customers. True story.

I see that you view my sharing as a joke. Good for you. Last year, some people had a similar reaction when I mentioned layoffs would occur around this time, which has since proven true. Feel free to check back with me in 12 months to see if this holds again. I hope you won’t be impacted when the time comes.
