Thread regarding CVS layoffs

This has been a full-on bottom line layoffs

The major criteria for layoffs have been the cost of the employee. There is a reason why some people cost more than others - competence and experience, to name a few. So we continue to shed people we actually need. Furthermore, a company will not be ‘streamlined’, ‘rightsized’, or whatever is the latest fancy word used to describe leadership shoveling money towards the top, on its own. Sooo, what’s the actual strategy behind the layoffs? What is it that they aim to achieve in the long run by this round of layoffs? Nothing but getting some extra cash now? That’s what I thought.

Tilak needs to go. All he cares about is his super app. Sorry, but you need to focus on the the internal systems that are going to he-l because you keep getting rid of your competent employees. Just lay more people off thinking offshore can do the work. You're totally wrong. Offshore does nothing, and rely on the FTE's. They need to go. When will management listen? The board is just outsiders. They have no clue about the business itself. Especially Health Insurance.
