Any rumours of layoffs or do people think the company is using quiet firing techniques. Getting rid of all benefits and return to office to encourage people to quit so they don't have to pay them out.

Return to Office, Pay for Performance, new promotion guidelines and spans / layers criteria to be people manager - I cannot speak for entire workforce but policy changes over last 12 months have helped me make a decision about my fit. Not sure if these are intended to increase productivity or encourage people to leave (attrition) and avoid packages. I just know that we don't share same values about people so its time for me to move on. Could be all companies are pivoting to profit based mindset where human are just assets that they manage from cost perspective. Lucky for me, I will just retire a few years early. One risk is talent could be first to walk out the door.
What has been changed
A lot want to leave and the good people are not appreciated just used
No in my org people are good we do not have layoff this year
We worry for me trump to get the role again as man wants to make company’s to stay and return to USA
Manager said if this happen we will lost job next year
I know that they are still doing shrinkage because some person is on sabbatical and was let go during the sabbatical.
Some CWs / contracts ended last week
What benefits are being removed? Heard new hires won't get a sabbatical but don't know if it's true. Haven't heard of any employees losing benefits.
I think that's part of the strategy when it comes to the latest changes in benefits. I still don't think there will get as many employees as they want to leave voluntarily, but that's just my impression.
