Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I’m sc--wed

The gravy train has finally derailed. I remember a time when I would walk the length of the Boeing Everett factory, the world’s largest building, looking for the farthest bathroom or cafeteria I could find to ki-l time on the clock. And the raises just kept coming.

The beginning of the end was when they hired all the nonunion labor on the swamps of the South Carolina. Now I’m getting canned while the fat cats in BSC are getting new boats and jobs for all their children. I think my wife is going to leave me too for a manager is South Carolina. This su-ks.

Good riddance. Now Boeing just needs to weed out the rest of you lazy fat fuqs. Maybe doors will stay on during flight!

The only advanced skill I acquired in the last 2 years was ping pong.

Unions had a time and place early in the industrial revolution. But now, they are just like big companies, in it to make money for themselves, and really have not much interest in the rank and file. I never have been in a union, my entire career, and I make 6 figures doing engineering because I made something of my life. If a company isn't treating workers fair, the workers leave. Then the company has to evaluate the situation, realize they have to pay a fair wage and compensation, then people will want to work there. I work at a place that is huge (100K employees world wide) and they treat people with respect.
