Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This has been rough couple of months

A lot of people have been trying to convince us that this is corporate normal, that we have to accept this is how things are being done and be more resilient, and that we all should be capable of finding another job and if we don’t, it’s our fault. It’s a talk as if we all are the same and living the same life context, as if corporations are natural occurrences beyond human impact, and the job market exists in a lab. Be rather fair and supportive of others, because many of us are in the bad spot in life, most of us are not at the top of our game or spec, the job market is sh-t, and Intel turned this into a protracted stressful affair with no end in sight. Leadership sc--wed the company. And yet, we pay the price. I don’t see the top suffering any consequences yet.

While might be the dip sh--s of the top who created the problem it’s the lower level and first line managers were the real problem. They are the ones we interact with every day. They are the ones we see every day. The top brass is not in our daily meetings. There are the ones were carrying out the propaganda from the top and spinning it for their own secret agendas.

Now, as far as your comment about not finding a job and it being our fault -Yes they know this and are purposely trying to make us feel this way. It’s an agenda of fear so we are trapped and too scared to leave. Plus most places outright refuse to hire Intel personnel. so we are damned if we do and we’re damned if we don’t.

I agree. The dipsticks at the top created this mess, yet their heads aren’t rolling. Only MTs. The ones who really need their paychecks!!!
