There are always changes in head counts at these big corporations. Some did to projects, some big cuts like this one. It's just the ongoing state of a publicly-traded company.

The WARN statement put out recently states "first separation" - sneaky but implies future rounds coming

After Nov 15 they will need to re-org to accommodate all of the changes happening with this round. Considering that little to nothing will get done for the rest of this year with everyone recovering from this stress load it will probably be mid Q1 25 before anything else gets announced. Of course, the Q3 earnings could be so bad that they just decide to cut more at that time.

These rumors persist but what is this based on? Why would the company waste money waiting until Q1 when there are cuts happening right now?

We'll have layoffs until we 1) figure out, better than our competitors, how to design and manufactue what customers want. 2) Accept, instead of passing up, lucrative contracts. 3) Hire a CEO that can make 1 & 2 happen.

Sorry to disappoint you. No layoffs in 2025. The rumors coming from ACT people laid off like 10 years ago and still bitter and unemployed.

Agreed, Q1. Our group (DCAI) have even said so.

This latest batch of cuts were to an already skeleton crew for many modules, there may be no next year at all at this rate for anybody, they're headed to shut down all operations together at this rate
