Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Run as far away from Truist as fast as you can

Place is a disaster from top to bottom. Treat employees like trash. Truist can't hire as the marketplace knows it is a dumpster fire. Only thing saving the company is the employee base under the long time pension plan - without it, it would be the complete titanic with employees jumping overboard even moreso than they currently are.

Just another BS post since no one else is discussing real issues. Only those under pension plan keeping it afloat? Guess you don’t know anything about TIS.

@cb9+1v0s4xWm - Ward has to be the most unlikable executive at Truist. Puts on a show for town halls and all hands. 1 on 1 he’s disingenuous and smug. He’s a two faced individual.

Truist is a horrible career choice if you are working client facing/payments/sales. Middle management is the gatekeeper of internal issues & overworked employees. They are paid to communicate issues only number & strategy based on ways to improve those numbers.

Employees who live off of their incentives/commissions were told at the beginning of 2024 by Ward their pay-out would be discretionary (no qt payout on sales, no guaranteed p/o unless overall company % achieved - no matter if you made your own goals+). Messed up many of my work fams lives, employees getting sick all the time, having to pay to park at their OWN JOB) & took away overtime….they called it something fancy…. Ward man, this dude even said “ya gonna be smoking something else in Thanksgiving” on a 500 person virtual call.

Bless the old days and caring for client and employee relationships.

The paychecks are great here and that's all I care about. If the payday falls on a weekend or even on Monday they send me my money early. Great folks

Spend your time looking for a job - you will get to a better place with your rage

Working the minimum says so much about yourself and finding a new job will probably not change your work ethic

I’ve been doing the bare minimum for months and still do double what my teammates do. I’m def sticking around for the pension. Im also not going in 4 days a week because my boss sure isn’t. Since stopping giving a damn I enjoy work much more. LOL

@gdc+1v0s4xWm I wouldn’t necessarily hold out for AIP bonus even. It’s based on bank performance and there’s a pretty strong argument that Q3 and Q4 earnings won’t come in good.
And I’m sure leaders and execs are gonna string employees along as much as possible and continue acting like we’re on track for a full payout. I would be shocked if it was a full payout tbh..

Yea Truist su-ks. I wish I didn’t work here. I love my life. I dread working at Truist. It’s a sweatshop culture based on buzzwords, platitudes and lip service from leadership. It is so evident they don’t give a rat’s @$$ about the well-being of employees. I can’t wait to leave and work for a better company. Going to hold out until AIP and LTI stock options mature in March!

Once they lowered the 401k match from 6% to 4% I've had one foot out the door casually looking. I do the bare minimal now because Truist has done the bare minimal. I used to be proud to tell people where I worked, I'd say "6% match, AND a pension! They really value their employees." Now I literally tell anyone who will listen not to bank with us. That is how demoralizing the 401k lowering was. I am no longer excited to work here. If they do away with the pension, or lower it in any way, I'm aggressively looking for a new job.

So true. Most of my team is long time employees nearing retirement. Everyone younger/newer and in their right mind is doing their best to leave.
