Intel has the magic of putting useless leaders, Wharton MBAs in charge of story telling and building business. I am sure it worked out as it doesn't speak well from Intel stands today. They know how to trim people and how to be present on social media and in fact it was cultivated as leadership.
in a casual observation, i see many directors/and-above spend much time on linkedin. I can only hope the networking benefits the company.
He is not worth the people that are working for him.
