Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Dashboards

Anyone know where the “dashboards” are pulling data from? Is it Teams? Badge swipes - in and out? Think Hou is the only location that swipes out.

Suspect they could try to use non compliance with flex work policy as a way to not pay severance since they have more explicitly communicated it.

Hey Forest Run
I think the new project name is GTFO!
😃
Totally agree with your statement about not quitting. When they give people the GTFO vibe, people should respond by staying put.
Make 'em pay the severance they want to avoid paying.

Whatever you do, don't quit! Make them lay you off and collect the sweet sweet severence package. It won't take long, they are already working on the next wave of layoffs. Does it have a catchey project name yet?

@fmoq+1v0WgYhV - Well said! All I know is that this high productivity employee is already looking elsewhere. The stupidity from management at this place is rampant and I don’t feel like dealing with it for much longer.

Companies that treat their employees like monkeys by micro analyzing their productivity data and running surveillance on them like Big Brother are in low intelligence, unsophisticated industries. If Enbridge is doing that they need to just go all in and switch the entire workforce to “Value Operations” in India (10 employees for the price of 1!).

Treating people like low IQ assembly line workers does not work out well for productivity or morale.

I don’t think this is happening but if it comes out that it is, the high value employees will find alternate employment and there will be no shortage of assembly line replacement workers.

Bad choices, huh? That’s a stretch.

Facts are facts. Just pointing out dipsh-t field workers with their poor attitudes and entitled smug attitudes towards other workers.

Bet they are all white racist males.

"Most office workers are expected to work 20-25 hours unpaid over the standard 40. There is now also the expectation to be working Sundays and Saturdays for some departments."

This is not expected of 'most'.

"We had to pay for our education to the tune of 100-200k, where most of you probably just did paid apprenticeships.
"We had to pay for our education to the tune of 100-200k, where most of you probably just did paid apprenticeships."

Don't be upset that people made good choices. That's petty.

Sounds like you made some bad decisions in life. It's not everyone else's fault. You made your choices now live with them.

Oh field worker ….

Office workers have no union, no guaranteed raises and most raises are not geared even towards Inflation.

When your management in the office acts like a jerk there is no grievance process or union mom/dad to back you up - generally management wins. Your best bet is to find a new job before your career gets destroyed.

We can’t strike.

Most office workers are expected to work 20-25 hours unpaid over the standard 40. There is now also the expectation to be working Sundays and Saturdays for some departments.

Office workers don’t get overtime.

We had to pay for our education to the tune of 100-200k, where most of you probably just did paid apprenticeships.

One day in the life of an office worker and most field worked would cry like little babies.

I think flexibility in office location is a great trade off.

Spoiled little field workers - how are those 3 hour coffee breaks. And don’t say you don’t cause I’ve seen those enbridge trucks at Tim Hortons and watched 10 guys stand around a hole doing nothing while 1 guy does the job.

There is an old saying about glass houses and stones.

Why not go to the office 5 days a week. The you wouldn't be worried about your location.

Costco is pretty slow on the weekends with the govt workers shopping during the work week anyways
