I'm not waiting for as long as three years, spending every day wondering if my store will be among those closed or not. This will be too stressful for me to take. Dragging out something like this for that long is inhumane. I'll do them and myself a favor and leave the first chance I get.

People have various reasons for working/staying at Walgreens but I would expect very few people with options would choose to work here.
Why would someone stay at a company if they say they are always looking over their shoulder?? How can you work like that and why would you? Is a Walgreens job the best you can do?
Since I've worked for Walgreens for over 15 years, it's always been an environment where your constantly looking over your shoulder expecting something bad to happen. It was always abundantly clear that you could be fired at the drop of a hat.
Sorry to hear this. If Walgreens follows the CVS layoff model, this is only stage one. Expect massive cuts to come to corporate positions in 1-2 years.
For the ones that stay why? Why would you stay? Is this the best you can do a walgreens job?
