Multiple Albemarle Corp. executives out as part of new operating structure

Two Albemarle Corp. executives are leaving the company later this year as part of a shift to a new operating structure.

Kristin Coleman is out as the company's executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Albemarle (NYSE: ALB) said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last week. Her last day there will be Nov. 4, according to the filing.

John C. Barichivich III also is out as Albemarle's vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer. Barichivich is leaving the company at the end of the year, the SEC filing states.
Albemarle announced its new operating structure last week as part of a review of its costs.

It all began with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Scott Tozier, followed by Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRO) Andrew McBride, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Chaitan Kansal, Resource VP Alex Thompson, and Recycling VP Fred Kuhn.

Each of them has left a remarkable legacy:

Scott Tozier (CFO): Strengthened Albemarle’s financial position, ensuring long-term stability.
Andrew McBride (CRO): Achieved major savings through settlements with Huntsman and the DOJ.
Chaitan Kansal (CMO): Drove significant commercial success
Alex Thompson (Resource VP): Orchestrated the groundbreaking Liontown M&A.
Fred Kuhn (Recycling VP): Spearheaded Albemarle’s unprecedented entry into the recycling industry.
