I heard managers are being asked to identify one poor performer from each team

Layoffs are expected before Thanksgiving
Yeah, I believe so. We got a communication that significant cost cutting will be starting soon. I'm sure headcount is part of that cost cutting initiative.
The GM and GE style is quarterly reviews with continuous cutting of the bottom 10% of performers. I would have agreed with the other comment that they would wait for FYE two years ago, but this is new Medtronic and it wouldnt surprise me to see impacts happen every quarter, maybe quietly.
So this hybrid model is ending? I just started a new role at MDT diabetes
If half your team leaves then there will be no need to layoff your group.
With leadership bringing down the hammer on RTO? Was this announced somewhere? I haven't heard anything on this. Pretty sure half my division would leave.
"How will RTO be handled for those who aren’t in Minnesota? Will people in other states have to report to the closest Medtronic facility?"
Yes.

With leadership bringing down the hammer on RTO, we will see people leaving Medtronic on their own.
Nah. Stock is going to the moon. It’s said that GM stares into this round black AI ball, and with each shake it gives him wisedom beyond bounds.
I heard MITG is doing good, but under preforming OU's should be worried, I have no real information just my opinion.
If you are a share holder and you dislike the board, you can make your voice heard by voting against some of the board members. An email should have been sent to you by your financial company. In this case, numbers matter.
I hate to say it but I do believe layoffs will occur before FY25 year end. 2nd half expense forecast is not able to be absorbed.
Nah, they’ll want you working as long as possible and ditch people right before the end of the FY. They really try to squeeze as much out as possible before kicking employees to the curb.
probably soon, I heard all travel is cancelled for the rest of year. No funding for anything and no backfills for positions as well in some teams.
Layoffs will never end under GM's failed GE Jack Welch leadership style.
