For many, like myself, the severence is less than the unvested stock that one is losing so LR of some individuals can be a net gain for Cisco. However, the severence does help reduce the loss.

Wow, this is the kind of person and the mentality that you hope it takes them a little longer to find something if they were affected. Pro tip - You are laid off, the other is still there and should get rewarded for having to put of with this type of individual.
What happened with the Canada package? I heard the USA and Canada packages were the same as March. 2 months garden leave, 4 months severance, vesting accelerated to December 2024, annual bonus payout, plus extra severance for long timers (over 10 years seniority), and PTO balance payout. For most people that would be 7-10 months pay, unless they've slashed the packages.
Canada got terrible package( severance).

Dont leave early. Relax during the 2 month transition time, don't do jack, get the 4 month payout and enjoy the 6 months of pay.
