Someone should’ve asked all the cool stuff the C-suite bought/plans to buy with their sweet retention bonuses while they have NO idea what the plan to compensate employees is. Pathetic clowns.
When they said “oh wait he have a woman as general counsel” all I could think of was Geri from Succession and it made me feel even worse about the situation.

What a wait of time this all company meeting was!! They recited the press release! There was absolutely nothing that was enlightening. And what a cringe moment when Andrew tried to justify the lack of diversity in leadership by pointing out the only woman sitting next to Paul as the example of DEI.
The writing was on the wall when people didnt want to return to the office. They wont pay someone a US salary to be at home when they can pay South African salaries for someone to come to the office. And now that the offices outside the DC area are closed the remote employees are likely going to be first to be cut and have their jobs shipped to South Africa.

As a women POC, the lack of diversity is concerning but on the other hand, let's BFFR. Take a look at the boards/leadership for our new owners. Nothing but pale, male faces. Looks like your local Pickleball court. Diversity and DEI may have been 2Us focus at one point, but the ones calling the shots no longer mirror those priorities
They made it very clear by the next company call in early December that there will be massive restructuring and layoffs, if you read between the lines with the new Board members coming to that all company call… that’s your timeline. Prepare accordingly, specifically if you are not in South Africa or close to the new office. They will be looking at remote folks first to cut.
