Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

WFH

In light of the announcement from G.E. About WFH and AWA… does anyone work fully remote with an approved exception? Or do you know of anyone who does?

Guys I know the new rules but has another had an APPROVED exception. Aka for health reasons with a doctors note approved by senior management. No side deals with people leaders but approved, signed, and documented reasons through senior management and HR.

Making some progress here. Work in the office you are assigned to? What a novel idea. Now just have to figure out how to keep the butts in the chair for the full shift. 1 or 2 hrs a day floating around to show your face doesn’t cut it. Might have to do some actual Enbridge work. Say goodbye to 2nd jobs/Facebook and personal shopping.

Nope. Know only of those who work from home with NO exception. It will continue no matter what they try to enforce. The rest of us have managers who enforce it. We will somehow pay the price AGAIN! Let the games begin.

I know of a lot of people that work at home and rarely come into the office. Then these same people that are no shows save gas money, maintenance, do errands during their shift, and take alternating Fridays off. While the rest of us continue to come in and work hard. I am glad they are finally holding people accountable now

All current exceptions are being cancelled. Finally, the same rules will apply for all employees now instead of some leaders making their own exception rules for how often someone comes in (if at all), moving office locations for no clear business reason, letting their teams do whatever they want, etc. All these side deals lead to inequity.
