Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Walgreens is closing for Thanksgiving. Is a sign things aren't good.

Cause you know Walgreens isn't doing it because they care about employees spending time with family. So it's got to be a cost cutting maneuver to save money. Things are really going south quickly, if they close on Thanksgiving.

I appreciate your ability to see through "fake care." I encourage you to apply this same intuition of yours to other areas of life as there are a lot of people promising to deeply and intimately 'care' about you, who then go on to do things that undermine you A LOT. Thanks.

They go to the press over this. That is how pathetic they are. They release this.......

"Last year for the very first time, Walgreens closed most of its retail stores for the Thanksgiving holiday to recognize the contributions of team members across the country and allow them to spend the day with loved ones," the company said in a news release. "This year, Walgreens will again give thanks to its hard-working employees and will close most of its stores for the Thanksgiving holiday."

They have NO clue how bad employee morale is. GIVE THANKS? You are the worst management in America.......no thanks.

Walgreens is closing for Thanksgiving under the guise of caring for employees. Anyone who works for Walgreens knows better. Corporate probably did a calculation and determined that its not worth staying open for Thanksgiving but just couldn't give up that potential revenue for the sake of employees on Christmas day. What other company gives Thanksgiving off but not Christmas? They did this last year as well.
