You're wrong, my friend, - indians hardly do the needful.
Yup. They can pay a 3rd world laborer much less.
But what is that saying? You get what you pay for
Yes , thankfully this is happening! The world is waking up and realising that you don’t need to pay some entitled I10 yank $200k pa to bullsh-t about things they don’t even know about! The world exists outside the US!!
It’s more like having cheap offshore folks pretending to be AI here.
They don’t need real people….they are going to do everything with AI
summary of average engineer salaries:
US: $90,000–$115,000/year
Europe: $40,000–$90,000/year (higher in Western Europe, lower in Eastern Europe)
India: $10,000–$25,000/year
LATAM: $15,000–$40,000/year (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico)
Rest of Asia: $20,000–$80,000/year (Japan highest, Southeast Asia lowest)
RTO, but showering is optional.
Junk in. Junk out.
The dell way.
@tjh+1uy9w4Bc labor costs down, transactional costs up and they really do not care because it's buried in the organization and they pay us to deal with
Great now i will have to spend a tonne of time fixing code. The irony here is that Dell does not save money by shipping jobs to india, they just create more work for everyone else and burn a stacknof cash in the process
I guess those are the jobs that Dell is getting rid of in other countries via WFR
