Germany admin is desperate to save face and create the promised jobs. They are in talks to reallocate funds to TSMC so they can build 2nm fab.
Pretty interesting that this becomes their opportunity.

TSMC already make all of Intel's modern stuff. Why would Germany (or anyone else) want Intel over TSMC??
This is the biggest mistake TSMC have made trying to build fabs next to existing fabs to fight over staff only drives up staff costs. and Why Arizona the state is running out of water
Over promise new fabs, grift for tax breaks, demand never returns, turn Ohio and Germany into parking lots.
I don’t know why TSMC is trying to open a fab in Germany. They’re still having trouble getting Americans to work for them.
