Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Headline: Dell To Carry Out 'Continued' Job Cuts Through End Of Year

According to Dell, layoffs will continue to be a way of life at Dell. I don't understand anyone trying to downplay this, or even worse, claim that layoffs aren't happening.

From the following article:
https://www.crn.com/news/channel-news/dell-plans-continued-job-cuts-through-end-of-year

"Layoffs at Dell Technologies are expected to be an ongoing part of business with more cuts expected before the end of the year as it seeks more “disciplined cost management” to prepare for the future."

Where are the sunshine pumpers….. So in 6 months this year they have paid out as much as they did all last year when they cut 13k….. The Round Rock, Texas-based tech giant stated in a regulatory filing that in the first half of this fiscal year ended Aug. 2, it had paid severance costs of $400 million. It said that dollar figure is identical to the workforce reduction costs it paid during the entire previous year when it eliminated 13,000 jobs during two layoff announcements in February 2023 and August 2023

Yes. That's the only thing that I can think of. People on here commenting, "get back to work," must be old-timers sticking their fingers in their ears and pretending not to hear anything.

Or, they've got to be execs trying to downplay the result of their actions.

Imagine devoting 10-20y at a place with no where else to go.

Only thing left to hold onto is denial.
