Onshore wind

Thoughts about the announcement re onshore wind? I know they’ve been expecting this for the past 10 years.

Writing is on the wall. Not a good place to work either.

Bad business decisions. Referencing wind
Poor public opinion
Low morale
All the talent left
Benefits are dwindling
Company is either running off top talent or can't attract or keep top talent
Poor leadership everywhere you look
People in leadership positions not on merit but were promoted based on very unethical practices
Poor investment decisions
Stock not tracking with competition
They took Fridays away
Benefits are not in line with average across industry
No exploration arm
Engineers are average with exception of few
Best minds are going elsewhere
People know the truth
Many looking to jump ship
No sense of company culture or identity
BPX managers are pretty awful. They have a rep here at BP in London and Houston

It’s typical bp. They reinvented the wheels. Twenty years ago, Lord John Brown were all in with renewable energy e.g. solar, onshore wind and biofuels. Then, they divested these businesses. Five years ago, Bernard Looney, the successor of Lord John Brown went all in again with renewable energy and other businesses e.g. offshore wind, light sources, EV charging stations, retails, convenience stores and hydrogen. Now, Murray Auchincloss who is the successor divested onshore wind, reduce offshore wind, review the profit of EV charge stations …etc. They was hacked with climate change hoax to stay away with their core business i.e. oil and gas.

They don’t learn their own lessons.

I am not surprised by this announcement. The board should all be fired for allowing Looney Tunes to proceed with this strategy. We wrote off a billion in offshore wind and now selling onshore wind. What is next on the chopping block - Travel Centers of America or Thornton's? Have anyone been to any of these locations? In one of the town halls they asked employees to vote on what would drive them to stop at a certain location. They never mentioned cleanliness of restrooms! This feature is important especially for women. I recently travelled and stopped in several Maverik locations. Very clean restrooms and they have Cinnabon's.
