Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

How does Work Elimination = Decrease SG Level?

Can Anyone in management please explain this?
Sounds like cost savings and outsourcing to me

And are you a leader of these bottom dwellers? And you are still with the company because why? You like st-----g your power, or you can’t find another job.

You make the next move.

I love coming on here to read about the bottom of the barrel employees complain. There’s a reason you’re on here. You are not good enough to get another job so you somehow got there and just complain

Demotions are just a way to get people to quit so the company does not have to package them out. Problem is that they are demoting leaders who should have been fired for performance issues long before WEP happened. Now, because of WEP, people have the misfortune of reporting to a new leader who su-ked at their prior job and come into their new role with a bruised ego. SMH.

The big go man needs his salary increase. Consume the underlings is a plot to unlock extra cash flow. I hear BT is looking to go back to pagers instead of company phones.

I forgot the refinery is business… I thought it was a daycare for intellectually challenged individuals and their kin/friends. Birds of a feather flock together. Onward through the fog! Wait, I have some noses to wipe. 🐣

work elimination leads to work redistribution which leads to org redesign. Of which, sgl decrease is a possibility, if the role in question has a person currently occupying it at a higher salary than what the job entails. Hypothetically, if Joe was an SGL 18 who was saved by his buddy Mark in the last round of layoffs and parked in role X which is really an SGL 16/17, then Joe’s overpaid a$$ should get demoted if he wants to keep doing that role; otherwise it’s in the company’s best interest to put a 16/17 in that role replacing Joe. We run a business, not a charity.

It’s apparently the p66 way. Save money in the short term in order to boost your eoy rating. Don’t worry about long term, it’s ‘refining’

Work Elimination in the form of misdirection, smoke and mirrors, with a dab of outsourcing.
