Lads an entire department in IT just got sh-t canned. This is starting to feel serious. Anyone have any details?

Durham, NC, the big lab there, they've lost several people in multiple departments. Lab engineers, inventory, & managers. Making people do twice the work for the samz low pay.

There are no layoffs happening
there was a group were 30 of the 32 or 34 employees got taken out, so it is real and a lot more coming this week. That is why the org chart is not up to date
If your entire team was let go, then obviously it would already be a “serious situation” also why would you be on here asking for details if again you and your team were being laid off today?
There are several teams in IT that should go away, who add nothing, and are actually detractors to progress. Lots of fat to trim.

Can you describe exactly what was the "entire department" that was removed?
In August one full team in India under CSR initiatives got removed. Just 2/3 brown nosers were left, full team got removed.
